Newly sworn in Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas received traditional carol (kalanda) singers at the City Hall on Sunday.
The Athens Music School students sang kalanda from Chios and Macedonia, and the Association of Cretans from Corinthia ‘Psiloritis’ danced Cretan dances.
Doukas was sworn in on December 28 at the Kypseli central market and assumes his duties in the new year.
