Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Do you have the convention blues? Because I do! After every convention weekend, it feels like summer is ending and fall is around the corner. So, I’d like to welcome you to the 2024-2025 year for the Brotherhood! I would like to thank the membership for entrusting me with the honor of being the Supreme President of the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood of America for another year. It is a privilege to have this responsibility and I hope to continue the good work of those before me. We ended the year with 2070 members! Thanks to our membership chair Chrissa Lefes and for all the members, I am hopeful this year will be just as strong.
I would like to introduce the new and remaining members of the Lodge: Evangelos Fragos – Supreme Vice–President, Demetra S. Tsantes – Supreme Secretary, Sophia Facaros – Supreme Treasurer/database manager, Evangelos N. Karoutsos – Legal Counsel, Manny Lakios – Governor District 1, Theo Facaros – Governor District 2, Maria Tsalis – Governor District 3, Yianni Fragos – Governor District 4, Demosthenes C. Yiakas – Governor District 5, Ari Karimalis – Governor District 6, and Theodore Poulos – Youth Governor. I would also like to thank Steve Stratakos, Athena Lakerdas, and Isidoros Kyrlangitses for their prior service to the Brotherhood.
We give a large thanks and huge congratulations to Chapter Langada for hosting a very successful and fun convention! They did an amazing job and should be commended for their hard work and hospitality. I would also like to thank all the volunteers from chapters all over, the Supreme Lodge, and the Foundation that helped supply the manpower this convention needed. It proves that any chapter can host a convention and will be supported by all of us, the true meaning of a brotherhood. I hope all who attended enjoyed themselves. Coming soon! – Convention souvenirs will be available to be ordered online, keep an eye out on our website, more information to come. Those who did not attend were very missed, but we hope to see you at the 2025 Chicago convention. The minutes from the business meetings will be in the next issue of the magazine for all who are interested.
Unfortunately, we left Atlanta with no bids for the 2026 convention. It breaks my heart, but I am hopeful a Chapter will step up to the plate. If your chapter is interested, complete bids are due by October 31st, 2024.
