I hope you and your families had a Merry Christmas and I would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year! I am looking forward to the 2025 year and am very appreciative of all your support and dedication to our organization in 2024. I’m envisioning everyone will be dancing the Ikariotiko while ringing in the New Year!
The Foutrides Chapter has been busy preparing for the 2025 Chicago Convention. The reservation link is live on the website at www.ikariachicago.com and on Facebook and Instagram under @Pan-Icarian Convention Chicago 2025!!! Via regular meetings of the chapter and all committees, they are actively working on the itinerary for the weekend and will be finalizing that soon. After the new year, all chapter presidents will receive raffle tickets in the mail. Please support the Foutrides chapter by purchasing these tickets for the chance to win hotel stays for the weekend, dance tickets, and banquet tickets.
Three chapters submitted bids to host the 2026 National Convention. On January 18th, 2025, the Supreme Lodge and the Foundation will meet together in Norfolk, VA. We will be touring the potential hotel for the 2026 convention hosted by Chapter #28 Eirini – Virginia Beach, VA! We are very excited and proud that a smaller chapter will host their first convention and wish them all success and luck in their planning phases. We hope that the other chapters resubmit bid proposals in Chicago for the 2028 convention. The Supreme Lodge plans to hold our second meeting on March 1st in Los Angeles hosted by Chapter # 14 Oinoe as they celebrate 75 years!
The 2025 Membership Drive is already underway! Our Membership Drive Chairperson, Chrissa Lefes, has already contacted chapters and explained our goal of having all members pay their Chapter dues by June 2025. The Per Capita Chapter dues can be sent to Supreme Treasurer Sophia Facaros no later than July 1, 2025.
The 2025 annual Youth Leadership Conference will be hosted by Chapter Atheras in New Jersey! Save the dates: Friday, February 28, 2025 – Sunday, March 2, 2025. This is an essential component and pivotal event for the brotherhood. It’s how several of the past supreme presidents, myself included, became so involved in the brotherhood, and made lifelong friendships, and memories. More information will be coming soon along with the registration forms, but please consider sending 2 youth members from your chapter! Email our Youth Governor, Teddy Poulos at youth@pan-icarian.com with any questions. For anyone interested in participating as a Youth Member, please reach out to be added to our email distribution list.
