KKE: PM trying to cover up his government’s responsibility for what happened at Tempi

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis “is once again trying to pre-empt the investigation into the crime at Tempi and cover up his government’s responsibility for all the causes that led to it, the collision of the trains, the explosion that followed, the tampering with the scene of the crime,” the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) said in an announcement on Sunday regarding the prime minister’s interview to “Kathimerini”.

“The problem for Mr. Mitsotakis is that most sections of the people and youth are aware that the crime of Tempi was not an isolated event but the most blatant and inhuman expression of a policy that is all areas sacrifices the peoples’ needs on the alter of capitalist profits. It is this that sparks the mass popular reactions that are growing stronger ahead of the general labour strike on February 28,” KKE added.
