Two friendly Greek-Turkish football matches between the mixed team of Chios and the mixed team of Çeşme-Alaçatı, in collaboration with the Chios Football Clubs Association, are being organized by the Association of Rented-Furnished Rooms and Apartments of Chios.
The first match will take place in Çeşme on Sunday, March 16, between the mixed teams under 16 years old, while the second match will be held on April 27 in Chios with the men’s category.
During a press conference in Chios, the President of the Association of Rented Accommodations, Giorgos Mylonadis, the Vice President of the Chios Football Clubs Association, Panagiotis Mandalas, and the coach of the Chios Mixed U16 team, Dimosthenis Kavouras, emphasized that the matches aim to promote Greek-Turkish cooperation and friendship between the two peoples.
The second match, which will take place in Chios, also provides an incentive to increase tourist traffic from Turkey.
The matches are supported by the Municipality of Chios and the Region of North Aegean and are a continuation of last year’s effort by the Association of Rented Accommodations, which organized a women’s volleyball tournament with two teams from Chios and two from Smyrna.
