Tourist Traffic in Samos Soars, with Record Arrivals from Turkish Visitors

There has been a sharp increase in tourist activity on the island of Samos, with record numbers of visitors arriving from Turkey.

As stated on ERT3’s program “Perimetros” by the Vice President of the Hotel Association, Giorgos Chatzidimitriou, starting from July 27, a morning flight from Athens to Samos will be added, boosting the island’s capacity until September 7.

“All accommodations have an occupancy rate of 90–95%. This was greatly helped by the number of visitors from the neighboring country, and we hope that in July and August we will be able to make up for the losses we experienced in June,” noted Giorgos Chatzidimitriou.
