
Damage restoration from the Daniel flood continues throughout Thessaly. According to an announcement by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, the General Directorate of Natural Disaster Restoration has already issued 3,063 building repair permits, corresponding to 6,164 processed applications from citizens.
The total number of applications submitted amounts to 12,618, and the total amount corresponding to the issued repair permits is 23.45 million euros.
In addition, 2,316 applications have been verified by the General Directorate for the Rehabilitation of Natural Disasters, for which the applicants are invited to submit additional supporting documents.
The Deputy Minister of State for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Kostas Katsafados, stressed that “ two years after the devastating Daniel flood, the steady acceleration in the issuance of repair permits and the continued disbursement of State Aid demonstrate our ongoing commitment to effectively support the people of Thessaly. The competent authorities continue to closely monitor the procedures for the final restoration of the damage and the strengthening of the resilience of the region.”
