The Government Council on National Security (KYSEA) convened on Tuesday under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. During the meeting, a briefing was given on the latest international developments.
According to a statement by Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, the meeting approved armament programmes of the Armed Forces, and there was a briefing on the plan for utilising the SAFE programme, based on the approved Long-Term Defence Equipment Planning 2025-2036.
Lastly, there was an update on innovation within the Armed Forces and the activities of the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (HCDI).
