The Coordinating Committee of the farmers’ blockades in Nikaia, Larissa, is meeting on Saturday to decide on its further steps.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has extended an invitation for a meeting at the Maximos Mansion on Monday afternoon, at 17:00. The farmers’ decision is expected to determine the next phase of the mobilizations and the possibility of political dialogue with the government.
At the same time, farmers and livestock breeders in Crete are showing signs of retreating from the mobilizations, after the double meeting they had in the previous days at the Vice Presidency of the government.
Now, the burden of developments is transferred to the blocs. Today’s discussion of the Coordinating Committee will show whether there is a real willingness to dialogue with the government or whether the mobilizations will continue unabated.
