Industrialist Nikolaos Stassinopoulos, the board chairman and patriarch of Brussels-based Viohalco, one of the top firms in the European metals industry, has passed away at the age of 94, according to an announcement issued by the Viohalco’s management and staff on Saturday.
The announcement expressed their deep sorrow and anguish for the loss of Stassinopoulos, “who was an emblematic leadership figure of the Viohalco Group for seven decades. His great work defined the course and growth of Viohalco and its companies and left an indelible mark on Greece’s modern industry,” the announcement said.
