Marinakis: Vandalism and bullying are shameful

“Vandalism and bullying, such as those we saw today at the farmers’ blockades, are shameful,” government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Wednesday, noting that these actions had “targeted certain professionals, simply because they participated in a constructive meeting with the prime minister to resolve issues in their sector.”

Marinakis added: “We call on all parties to condemn these dangerous and illegal actions.”

Larissa: Tractors damaged at the Nikaia blockade

Tractors were damaged early this morning at the Nikaia blockade, when farmers noticed that unknown persons had written with paint on the tractors of two of their colleagues who had participated in Tuesday’s meeting at the Maximos Mansion, while at the same time deflating the tires of agricultural machinery.

The president of the United Federation of Agricultural Associations of Larissa, Rizos Maroudas, in a statement to the ANA-MPA, stated that the Coordinating Committee and the farmers of the blockade condemn the action and will repair the damages, while emphasising that this is a “provocation aimed at breaking up the blockade of Nikaia.”
