Athens International Airport ended 2025 with a record in passenger traffic.
Annual passenger traffic at “El. Venizelos” reached 34 million passengers, marking an increase of 6.7% compared to 2024 (31.8 million). Domestic and international passenger traffic showed an increase of 2.2% and 8.6%, respectively.
In December, according to the statistics of the Athens International Airport, passenger traffic showed an increase of 8.4%, reaching 2.31 million travelers, compared to December 2024. Both domestic and international passenger traffic at the airport showed an increase, exceeding the levels of 2024 by 5.5% and 9.6%, respectively.
5.7% increase in flights
Overall, during 2025, the number of flights at Athens International Airport amounted to 283,589, recording an increase of 5.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2024. Domestic flights showed an increase of 1.3%, while international flights recorded an increase of 8.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
