The Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni, met with the Ambassador of Philippines to Greece Giovanni Palec, to discuss a cooperation agreement in tourism.
Kefalogianni informed Palec that she would extend an official invitation to the Philippine Minister of Tourism to visit Greece, on which occasion the above-mentioned agreement could be signed. During the meeting, the prospects for strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries were also discussed. Kefalogianni presented Greece’s tourism strategy, which focuses on expanding tourism activity across the country and throughout the year, promoting lesser-known destinations, and diversifying the tourism offering.
Palec thanked Kefalogianni for her participation in the event marking the assumption of the presidency of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for 2026 and informed her of the planned actions in this context. He also referred to Philippines’s initiatives for tourism development, emphasizing education and training and stressed the importance of cooperation with Greece.
