Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday spoke with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides on the telephone, government sources said.

The prime minister briefed about Christodoulides about his upcoming visit to Ankara and the planned meeting there with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, they said.
The two leaders also discussed the latest developments concerning the Cyprus issue, in the framework of efforts to resume talks within the framework created by UN Security Council resolutions, and reaffirmed the ongoing coordination between Athens and Nicosia.
