Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy spring and Καλό μήνα for the month of May.
I would like to reflect on the 2026 Youth Leadership Conference, hosted by Chapter #11 Lychnos of San Francisco, CA, from May 1–3, 2026. There were more than 40 young Icarians involved in the event. I would especially like to thank Victoria Mavrogeorgis and Anthoula Vlachos for their hard work and planning in making this event successful. It was a wonderful weekend of fun held in conjunction with the Chapter #11 Lychnos Spring Dance. The youth organized officers and established new positions at the last Convention in Chicago, and I am very glad to see them taking such a positive step in supporting our Brotherhood.
I would also like to extend our shared invitation to the Pittsburgh Chapter Icaros #7 Memorial Day Dance on May 24, 2026. This annual event, hosted by the Icaros Chapter, serves as a Mini-Convention featuring a golf tournament and dance. I look forward to seeing everyone there with their dancing shoes on. The countdown to the 2026 Convention is approaching rapidly. The convention will be hosted by Chapter Eirini #28 of Southeastern Virginia. Please continue to support their raffle ticket fundraiser, available at:
For room reservations, please act quickly, as rooms are filling up fast. We will be gathering in downtown Norfolk, VA, for the Convention. Please also consider purchasing an album ad or becoming a sponsor of the event. Chapter #28 Eirini has been working extremely hard to make this a successful event.
I would also like to recognize the two Convention Co-Chairs, Pari Maratos and Kelly Pedos Bredologos. Pari and Kelly have been working diligently to organize this Convention, and I would like to thank them for their efforts thus far. Along with Chapter President Sam Tripodis, I am confident we are in good hands.
