Drug enforcement officers made a significant seizure this week, arresting three suspects and confiscating more than 40 kilograms of narcotics.

According to a police statement issued Thursday, a 38-year-old man was arrested in the eastern Athens suburb of Zografou during an alleged drug transaction involving a 34-year-old man, who was in his apartment acting on behalf of a 32-year-old woman. All three suspects were taken into custody and questioned.
Follow-up searches led authorities to a property in the Piraeus suburb of Perama, which the 38-year-old allegedly used as a “stash house.” There, officers discovered more than 26 kilograms of cocaine, 8 kilograms of hashish, 450 grams of cannabis and 4.7 kilograms of MDMA, among other substances.
Police also seized an air gun, four mobile phones, two vehicles and €2,540 in cash.
