A 17-year-old accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Thessaloniki has been conditionally released after testifying before an investigating magistrate.
The minor, who is reportedly from Egypt, denied the charges, claiming the acts took place with the consent of the alleged victim and that he was unaware of her age.
Following his testimony, the investigating magistrate and prosecutor ordered his release under conditions that he remain in the country and refrain from approaching or communicating with the girl.
