Greek-owned tanker targeted by drone attack at Egypt port

A Greek-owned tanker flying the Bermuda flag was struck Wednesday by at least one drone while anchored at Egypt’s Damietta port.

The attack sparked a fire aboard the vessel, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to port facilities, according to maritime security firm Ambrey. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The company did not provide further details on the nature of the attack or the vessel’s cargo.
