Master plan set for UNESCO Samos ruins

The Ministry of Culture has introduced a master plan to protect, promote, and unify the archaeological sites and monumental units of Pythagoreion on the island of Samos. Included on the UNESCO World Heritage list alongside the Heraion, the ancient city constitutes one of the Eastern Aegean’s most significant sites, forming a complex landscape of walls, public buildings, hydraulic works, cult facilities, and necropolises connected to the modern settlement.
