The Greek Army will acquire 36,000 kevlar anti-ballistic helmets as part of a new “modern fighter” uniform presented to Parliament’s defense committee. The NATO-standard helmets feature visible and infrared strobe light mounting points, optic mounts and communication system slots, costing an estimated €17 million. The acquisition is part of broader Greek Armed Forces upgrades, which also include new M25 plate carriers, ballistic plates, communication systems and support for transport aircraft, drones and submarines.
