Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I hope this message finds you and your family well. With the recent distribution of vaccines and steady downward trend of infections, I am very optimistic for the year ahead. Already I’ve received correspondence from multiple chapters informing me of in person meetings that they have held or plan to hold in the coming months. If your chapter schedules a meeting, please be sure to inform me and the rest of the Supreme Lodge, as we would like to support you by attending.
National Convention – Cleveland 2021
I’m happy to report that our Cleveland chapter members have been working diligently and efficiently on our national convention plans. This year’s convention, which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio from September 3rd – 6th promises to be a memorable one! Many exciting events and activities have been planned, and I encourage you all to make your travel and hotel room arrangements ASAP. The rooms held under the convention block are limited, and are filling up quickly.
As a reminder, the convention hotel is the Cleveland Hilton Downtown. Visit the convention website (https://www.icarianconvention2021.com) for additional details on the upcoming convention and to reserve your hotel, purchase tickets to events, and other great features.
Convention Album Submissions
The most important fundraising tool for the national convention is the convention album. Given the initial uncertainty that the pandemic had created, support of this year’s convention album is more important than ever.
I encourage everyone to support the host chapter by submitting a journal entry in this year’s convention album. If you haven’t previously submitted an entry, please consider showing your support. Not only will you be ensuring the convention is a success, but your entry will also be submitted within our National Archives as part of the 2021 convention album. Album submission forms can be found on the convention website.
Payments and journal entries can be submitted by mail (preferred method) or through the convention website (https://www.icarianconvention2021.com/album) Full page submissions are $300 and Half Page ads are $200, both of which will be printed in high quality color.
