I hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. As we prepare for the busy summer months ahead, travel for vacations and gather for family events, I wanted to ensure I provided you with some key updates and reminders:
Ikarian Scholarships
If you haven’t yet submitted your online application, there is still time! The deadline to apply for the 2021 Pan-Icarian scholarship is July 1, 2021. Applications can be submitted quickly and easily through our website at: https://pan-icarian.com/scholarships/. I encourage all eligible students who are continuing their education at a university or trade school to apply.
National Convention – Cleveland, Ohio
I know we are all very excited for our upcoming National Convention, which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio. This year’s event promises to be very memorable, and I’d like to thank the members of our Cleveland Chapter for their hard work and dedication. Planning this year’s convention was extremely difficult, but through their steady commitment and experience, they have planned a truly amazing event for us this year!
Our convention is the main event we all look forward to each and every year. With last year’s convention being postponed, I am certain this year will be one you don’t want to miss. I encourage everyone to attend this year’s convention and support the host chapter by submitting a convention journal entry. 2021 Memberships
With the 2021 Supreme Convention quickly approaching, it’s time to pay your 2021 membership dues. Please submit your dues to your local chapter or through our website (https://pan-icarian.com/membership/ as soon as possible. A strong membership base is key for continuing the success of our great organization and we depend on you for your continued support. Mailed in submissions should be sent to Supreme Treasurer Evangelos Fragos with checks written out to “Pan-Icarian Brotherhood of America”.
In addition, the Supreme Lodge recently emailed the “Convention Delegate” and “Chapter Officer” forms to each of the Chapter Presidents. Please ensure that these forms are completed for your Chapter, and returned to our National Secretary Katerina Mavrophilipos, by August 1, 2021. It is important to return these forms as soon as possible, to ensure all necessary Chapter and Delegate information is available by the start of the convention.
Youth Leadership & Culture and Arts Groups
The Brotherhood has worked diligently this year to keep members engaged and has promoted a series of new initiatives based on membership interests and recommendations. We now have regular virtual meetings for both our “Youth Leadership” group and “Culture & Arts”. If you are interested in attending these regular meetings or have suggestions on new initiatives, please feel free to contact me or the Supreme Lodge directly.
